Cut Copy's next album is one of the most anticipated indie releases of all time. Every1 is 'mad pumped' to see how they 'evolve' and if they can keep 'delivering' hit after hit. Many indie purists are saying that with this album, Cut Copy has the opportunity to leapfrog Animal Collective as the most pop-auth band of all time.
N e ways, they played at Lollapalooza, and 'played new material', but most importantly, debuted a sweet new band personal brand.
Here is their song "Where I'm Going" 'performed live.' Seems to have a positive vibe in the live setting. Really vibing to Cut Copy's new band brand. The whole 'business casual' thing, like a dude in middle management on a Friday. Maybe just a dude who sells auto insurance.
Feel like their lead singer has a new swagger that I have never seen before. Feel like he is about to 'make the leap', and we might get to know him on a complete name basis, maybe. Just googled his name. It is "Dan Whitford." Wonder if he should get a spirit animal name [via AnCo] ....developing....
R u gonna go business casual to be like Cut Copy?
Do u like their vibes?
Does the business casual represent a creative step just beyond the Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs"?
Do u think dressing biz cas sorta represents
Here is a 'real new' song called "Blink And You'll Miss The Revolution."
Do u like these songs?
Will Cut Copy's next album be 'the album of 2k11'?
Is Cut Copy a 'top 5 indie band of all time'?
R u gonna start dressing business casual?
Is the 'business casual vibe' the official vibe of 'young adults going to church'?
Is Cut Copy's brand 'evolving' at an appropriate speed that will garner media attention + critical acclaim?
Should I stop shopping at Am Appy/Urby, and just go to my local Macy's/Dillards/Steinmart/TJ Maxx/JC Penbros and get some cheap slacks + dress shirt?
Should I just get a job in a business park in suburbia in a comfy environment where every day is business casual?
Will modern alts 'clean up their personal brands' and go business casual, or does it take too much daily maintenance?
i feel that a lot of hipsters won't go for the business casual look unless they have attractive, symmetrical faces and an aura to boot. hipsters are like ugly christmas trees in dire need of decorating
I don't believe you, if this actually is something that people are really anticipating then 2k10 will be the year I kill myself. These fucking post-beach boys bros are not doing it for me.

Most anticipated indie album? I dunno but I've always loved these live and have hoped their studio work would capture more of that energy. These two new songs very promising! As for the biz casual thing: strange, isn't it? Possibly Friendly Fires started that trend.
laffing at the bouncer bro who looks like he wants to kill himself cause he would rather be bouncin fer skinard or zz top... saw the cut copies live, they were ok kinda got annoyed with dan whitford coaching the crowd to freak out at certain points in songs the whole time

love cut copy but honestly i think of them as a 'guilty pleasure' and sorta inauthentic. conflicted. "Where I'm Going" is enjoyable but sounds mad mnstrm. i watched the second video but didn't start vibing hard until the old shizz came out. confused.

This is so unfresh I don't know what carles is talking about.
Where I'm going: The organ sound/part are generic and so are the melodies and the harmonies they are singing, as well as the cheesy shuffle beat. It sounds and looks like a bad 80's movie. Sounding and looking like a bad 80's movie aren't cool anymore.
Blink: Same exact problem. This just sounds like the crap my parents had mixed into their album collection between beethoven's greatest hits and the soundtrack to kevin costner's Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
I'm not much of an AnCo fan, but these guys aren't even close to being on the same level in any way. These guys are a bunch of nobodies - anybody can make this crap.

@American Psychbro,
I dunno, AmAppy is going more for a retro preppy rich kid vibe.
Cut Copy seems more like middle class office worker style.
To be honest, Cut Copy no longer deserves to be on HRO; maybe CNET can start blogging about them.

@Hello, btw, just watched that first video, is there an invisible guy in the band who plays that synth? if so that's pretty cool, if not lame!
