Best Coast is the most approachable artist in the recent micro genre of 'fuzzy buzzy' guitar bands that make you sound like u r at the beach in the 50s-70s, or something. It seems like her new video is meant to 'break free' from being a blogcentric internet indie artist, and start to get some more mainstream coverage. The song "When I'm With You" seems like it is intended to be some sort of summer love song.

The video debuted [via stream] at MTVU, which is supposed to be the channel that MTV uses to try to connect with 'indie artists.' I think MTVU gets tons of airplay in college cafeterias.

The video features the Best Coast broad falling in love with a Ronald McDonald type of character. I am not sure if it is supposed to be an advertisement for In-N-Out burger or something.

Is Best Coast going to 'crossover'?
