It's simply wrong...going mainstream is a problem because bands are not able to put out decent music once they land to the mainstream land. Now they also have to meet mainstreamers' demands which means changing their style and music to adapt themselves to the Generation of Bieber& Efron Headz. ughhhh... Therefore, sadly, Neon Indian is dead.

the funny thing is they have no other material than what they had out before. furthermore the expectations or whatever that you guys think a band has when they go mainstream depends on what the band wants, not what you want. million young is terrible. toro y moi is excellent if you wanna draw a comparison. seriously, for a band to make an art record like neon did and get that large is amazing. the pixies got big... still cool, still good. come on now. we arent 14.
